This is to announce that we are setting up this site as a multi author wordpress blog. Let me share a few features that we may like to see on this site:

1. Author image display on their respective articles/posts.
2. Short “about me” description of the author below his pic.
3. Author profile display in the sidebar.
4. Click on the author image should take the visitor to the author’s profile page, where a list of the articles written by the author should also be included.
5. There should be a provision for visitors to be able to contact the author personally via email.
6. Option to hide the author’s email ID through contact form.
7. Online status of the author on skype, Gtalk, Yahoo IM, MSN, etc with a chat from the page feature.
8. Send sms to author facility.

I started with searching for plugins that I thought could be of help. Luckily I landed on Lorelle’s blog post. Thanks to Lorelle’s for this post, where he has done an in depth research on plugins that can enhance the usability and provide the tools required to run a multi-author wordpress blog. I am trying to see what plugins we can use in this site. If you have any idea that you think can be incorporated or if you know any plugin that can be useful please share..
